Pre-processing your footage can help get better results by cleaning up the frames.
Denoising
Section titled “Denoising”Noise in the footage can interfere with color detection during tracking and with the background removal algorithm. In order to minimize it we offer four denoising filters, controlled by the Filter type parameter:
- Box
- Gaussian
- Median
- Bilateral
Each algorithm has its own strengths and weaknesses, so experimentation is recommended. Their strength can be tweaked with the Size option.
Background removal
Section titled “Background removal”The Clean frame number refers to a frame with no hands or shadows over the page. Parts of the image that are the same as in this frame are considered background and masked out.
Tolerance can be adjusted to adjut the sensitivity of the background remover.
